PAL: PhaseAlternatingLineisananaloguetelevisioncolourencodingsystem.Itrefertothe625-line/50Hz(576i)televisionsystemingeneral.

NTSC:NationalTelevisionSystemCommittee,istheanalogtelevision.offersveryslightlysmoothermotionthanPAL.NTSCreceivershaveatintcontroltoperformcolourcorrection

manually.Ifthisisnotadjustedcorrectly,thecoloursmaybefaulty.ThePALstandardautomaticallycancelshueerrorsbyphasereversal,soatintcontrolisunnecessary.
